Vines have been planted on these rounded hills for over 2000 years. And they've never stopped making wine to delight the taste buds. White, rosé, red, but also a sparkling wine made using the so-called ancestral or Gaillac method. At the "Maison des vins de Gaillac", you can learn about little-known grape varieties: Len de l'el, prunelart, duras, mauzac, fer servadou...
Then take to the hills by bike to explore the rolling countryside from Gaillac to Castelnau de Montmiral. Electric bikes are fantastic. It's easy to get on and off, and you can push open the doors of wineries, stop off on village terraces and soak up the mild air and friendly Tarn atmosphere.
In the evening, enjoy the pool in your bed and breakfast and a well-deserved rest before setting off again for a festive night.
Accommodation : A 10-minute walk from Gaillac station, you'll be welcomed in a former Hôtel Particulier transformed into a charming guest house: a pretty patio with swimming pool, a majestic staircase, bright rooms... The combination of old stone, modern comforts and the attention of your hosts will make this stopover an enchanted interlude out of time.
