A little nest for two in the village of Larroque, sheltered by its high limestone cliffs.

The village is dominated by the Grésigne forest, a forest of ancient trees stretching from the Aveyron Gorges to the Gaillac vineyards. You can explore it on foot or by bike from Larroque, and join the famous Heritage Trail linking Puycelsi to the summit of Montoulieu, a not-to-be-missed hike in the Grésigne. In autumn, the forest is alive with the sound of the stag's roar, and the porcini mushrooms and girolles grow patiently.

If you like cobbled streets and old stone buildings, you'll be spoilt for choice, with many hilltop villages and bastides in the area: Bruniquel, Castelnau, Puycelsi, Penne, etc.
