Yvon and Nadine Pernes are delighted to welcome you to this former stable which they have renovated.

A trace of its former function remains in the dining room.
We carried out this work with two aims in mind:
* to combine present-day comfort with maximum preservation of its original features.
*answering the question: what would we like to find in a house for our holidays?

Our guest house is located in a pretty, quiet village about 5 km from Cordes sur Ciel. In this large house, if by chance the weather is bad, everyone can either isolate themselves without being the least bothered or share moments of conviviality in the large lounge and dining room. When the weather is fine, the barbecue and the terrace in the shade of the afternoon sun will allow you to take full advantage of the pure air of our beautiful region.
A bucolic calm awaits you, but you will have the pleasure of hearing a number of birdsong, the croaking of a frog, the neighing of a donkey or horse, the crowing of our neighbour's cockerel, the song of the cicadas and many other characteristic sounds of the countryside.

We welcome your four-legged friends, because we know that they are as well behaved as their owners.
As you wander around, you'll have the pleasure of coming across roe deer, hares, foxes and many other wild animals that can be found in our area. At night, crickets, bats and a few nocturnal birds of prey will keep you company, while small grey lizards, toads and frogs complete the menagerie.

For your leisure activities, you have a huge choice.
*Swimming in our large swimming pool, shared with Nadine and her grandchildren from time to time.
*Swimming in the river Viaur at Laguépie, about 10 km away.
* Visits to painting museums Musée Goyat in Castres, Musée Toulouse-Lautrec in Albi, Musée Soulages in Rodez, Musée Ingres in Montauban......
* Visits to themed museums, such as the fashion museum in Albi, the mining museum in Cagnac les Mines and the "Invincible winemaker" museum in Cahuzac sur Vère. This list is far from exhaustive.
* Visits to remarkable towns and villages: Cordes sur Ciel, Saint-Antonin (where you can also swim and canoe), Najac, Castelnau de Levis, Puycelci, Caylus, and of course Albi, Castres, Gaillac, Lautrec (home of pink garlic) and many others !!!!
* Visits to remarkable sites: the Sidobre near Castres, the Tarn gorges in nearby Aveyron, ...
* Cap Découverte" leisure park at Cagnac les Mines.
* Walking and cycling trails (at Les Cabannes you'll find mountain bikes for hire, with or without electric assistance).
* Visit the winegrowers of the Gaillac area and taste the great diversity and quality of the wines from this thousand-year-old vineyard.
This is just a small sample of the possibilities offered by our environment.
