The truffle-growers' union is acting as a facilitator and instructor to boost the planting of truffle trees in the department.
The "Syndicat des Producteurs de Truffes du Tarn" aims to unite truffle growers around the following activities :
Communication and marketing by taking part in various markets in the region and organising the Truffle Festival in Villeneuve-sur-Vère.
Training to revive the planting of truffle trees in the department; young plantations are planted with a variety of tree species such as Hazelnut, Holm Oak and Pubescent Oak.
Promoting know-how by disseminating and transferring knowledge gained from truffle-growing experiments.
