Domaine Roméli

The adventure of Domaine Roméli began in June 2022 with Roman TARTARIN, a young winegrower who had just settled in. The vines are on the 1st slopes of Cahuzac sur Vère in conversion AB. The 1st bottles produced are stamped with the 2022 vintage!

Roméli is located on the right bank of the Tarn, in the commune of Cahuzac sur Vère (81140).
The estate is located on the slopes of the Tarn, in the heart of the Gaillac vineyards, well exposed and bordered by black woods (Bosc Négre in Occitan).
The 14-hectare estate is made up of woods, meadows and 6.5 hectares of vines in production, with a small house and cypress tree at its heart (estate logo).
The vines are grown organically (conversion to organic farming is under way), with single Guyot pruning for all varieties apart from an old plot of Loin de L'œil, goblet pruning, shallow tillage, mechanical weeding and the planting of a half-till between November and April to decompact the soil and add a little nitrogen.
Two white grape varieties: Mauzac and Loin de L'œil "Len de L'el".
Three red grape varieties: Duras, Syrah and Cabernet-sauvignon.
Our young estate is currently undergoing major restructuring, with plans to uproot and replant vines in 2024 and 2025 and the construction of an on-site vineyard in the very near future!
2022 is our first vintage.
The bottled range includes a red AOP Gaillac (Syrah/Duras), a rosé AOP Gaillac (Gamay/Duras), a 100% Mauzac AOP Gaillac Premieres Côtes and a semi-dry IGP Côtes du Tarn (Muscadelle/Loin de L'œil) with very little sweetness and fruit.
The 3-litre bag-in-box range includes a 100% Syrah red IGP Côtes du Tarn and a dry white IGP Côtes du Tarn.
