There has been a Museum of Fine Arts at the Chateau de Foucaud since 1934. The museum houses both permanent and temporary exhibitions, the most important collection being works bequeathed by the renowned painter Firmin Salabert in 1895.

The Museum of Fine Arts in Gaillac will host a special exhibition in the summer of 2018, featuring almost 150 masterpieces of Chinese art. After developing a partnership with The Beijing Museum Of Art, the museum in Gaillac will unveil a fabulous exhibition of both calligraphy and decorative works of art from the last imperial dynasty of China, the Qing Dynasty, which lasted from the 17th to the 20th century.
