Le Patis is a rare place because it is nestled in the heart of the 13th century bastide of Lislois, close to all amenities, but also entirely turned towards nature! An island of tranquillity where birdsong answers the lapping of the heated swimming pool...
Lisle-sur-Tarn is THE bastide to visit in the South-West, and for more than one reason!
First of all, it was probably the first bastide to be founded (shortly after 1229) and its covered market place is the largest in the South West. It is also the only Bastide - port, testimony to a prosperous economic past when pastel and wine passed through the merchant town.
From its glorious past, Lisle sur Tarn has preserved its buildings with their particular architecture, some of which are linked by "pountets", and of course... the know-how of its winegrowers! Le Patis is located in the heart of the historic centre, less than 200 metres from the Place aux Arcades, its Sunday market, its restaurateurs and its summer concerts.
From the gite you can walk to the Bellevue Lake, its fishermen and its brand new playground in less than 10 minutes. If all the amenities are nearby, make no mistake, it is indeed peace and quiet that awaits you at Le Patis! The small square of the same name is only used by local residents and once you enter the gite, you will find yourself in a completely different world! The whole house faces a hundred-year-old oak grove and the outside spaces have been designed to make your stay a moment of relaxation and conviviality. On the suspended terrace, a winegrower's atmosphere for wine tasting (or not) while enjoying the view of the swimming pool. On the ground floor, another atmosphere for meals where guests will appreciate the pink reflection of the bricks, the refreshing shade of the forest and the soft melody of the "Rabistau" flowing below.
Finally, you will not be able to resist the call of the swimming pool and its magnificent teak terrace with a lounge.
Just 5 minutes from the A68 motorway, halfway between Albi and Toulouse, Le Patis is the ideal place to discover the thousand-year-old Gaillacois vineyards on foot or by bike, to visit the magnificent bastides of the South-West, to stroll from markets to aperitif-concerts or to let yourself be told, here and there, about some Cathar epics
Medieval castles and shows, some of the most beautiful villages in France, estates with the sweetest nectars, the sublime Albi and much more! Let yourself be carried away by the gentle way of life of the little French Tuscany!
There are many sports activities within easy reach: mountain biking / hiking / canoeing / tennis / football / fishing / petanque / microlighting / paragliding / tree climbing / water parks, etc...
