A boat ride in a gabarre to Albi
A gabarre? What is that? If you're not familiar with our local boats, experience them by boarding one directly at the port of Aiguelèze where you may have the opportunity to meet winegrowers who will offer you a tasting of their wines along with local charcuterie during a gabarre aperitif. Treat yourself to a few hours of peace and quiet, and appreciate the charms of the unspoilt Tarn under the eye of your experienced guide. The highlight is the specatcular arrival under Albi's bridges with a superbe view of the episcopal city, a UNESCO world heritage site. There is no doubt that from here you will take one of the most beautiful photos of the city, known as "the red city".
Finally, step onto dry land and take the time to stroll around this beautiful town: lose yourself in the narrow streets, discover the work of the famous painter Toulouse-Lautrec hidden within the Palais de la Berbie, take in the largest brick cathedral in the world, or simply enjoy a sunny terrace before getting back on board and returning to Aiguelèze for the rest of your stay.

Come and test your sense of balance and your paddle skills with a trip in a paddle or canoe along the Tarm or in the Gorges de l'Aveyron. Whether you're a complete beginner or experienced, you can cool down and enjoy the surrounding nature: If you are lucky enough, you'll hav e a front row seat to observe the inhabitants of the river: wagtails, herons or kingfishers. For a less relaxing but unique experience, try the giant paddles that can accommodate up to eight people. Fun is guaranteed! And to combine heritage with water sports, the Gorges de l'Aveyron give you a stunning view of the Penne fortress, hanging from its rocky outcrop.
